"Why is the Slenderman creepy?" "What does he even do?" "What’s so scary about him?" Allow me to explain. When the Slenderman first shows up, it’s an odd occurrence that sticks with you. He’s a tall, slender, bald, pale man in a suit. Although when you first see him, you won’t be sure of exactly what it is you just saw. But it will still stick with you. You’ll try to process what happened. If somehow you manage to shake off the first appearance, the second appearance will be even more relevant in your mind. Maybe this time you see him much clearer. Maybe you see him for longer, or he’s even closer to you than he was the first time. But the second time will surely be worse. Will the Slenderman let up? The answer is definite no. He will continue to pop up and negatively affect your life. Granted, he will not attack or physically harm you or anyone you care about. But it’s the mental anguish you’ll feel. The paranoia will get more severe with each occurrence. Your mind will be completely taken over with questions about why this man, this being, is doing all this. Why do you keep seeing him? Are you crazy? Is any of this real? And if it is, what does he want with you? See, it’s the constant paranoia and fear of the unknown which is the real weapon he has. It’s the way he tears you down mentally that gives him his power. He will never let up, never stop chasing you. Until finally, you realize that the Slenderman is in your life for good. And that is when you give up, and accept him. Than the Slenderman will appear to you, one last time, and take you away. You will vanish off this Earth. Nothing will be left of you. Where will you go? That’s anyone’s guess. But when he’s finished with you, the Slenderman will be ready to move on, to the next victim.
